Hi there

We requested when we first took this monitor that we felt it was poor it was offered with only a 2yr warranty for a monitor costing nearly £1000. :(

LG came back to me yesterday and confirmed that all the stock on 34UC97 which OcUK ordered from them has being upgraded to a 3yr warranty.

GOOD WORK LG!

Remember this monitor is part of our JANUARY SALE which ends today at 14:00 so bag yourself this great monitor and have the confidence it now comes with a 3yr warranty. :)

21:9 Curved UltraWide QHD (3440*1440) display offers visual comfort with 2.4 times more visual information at one time than a Full HD monitor. And also, the QHD resolution’s 1440p vertical height allows you to use more vertically than a 29 inch 21:9 monitor.

IPS’s 178’ wide viewing angles, close to 180’, allow you to view the screen clearly without distortion. Also, the Curved IPS provides an immersive viewing angle covering the entire viewing angle around your range of vision.

You are guaranteed an immersive artwork by perceiving the same color as a subject on display or print through a sRGB over 99% colourspace and IPS’s accurate colour expression.

34UC97 provides two Thunderbolt2 ™ ports to directly connect a Mac PC and Pegasus2 storage directly to transmit data more than four times faster, than a USB 3.0. As a result, there is no concern of slow transmission from using a USB or HDMI connection. You can connect to various devices with the two HDMI and two USB 3.0 ports, and a Display Port. And, If you have a Mac, you can connect directly to the 34UC97 via Thunderbolt 2™, which transmits data more than four times faster than USB 3.0.

Using MaxxAudio® technology you will experience deeper bass and crystal clear highs. Equipped with two 7w internal speakers and MaxxAudio® technology, the 34UC97 provides cinema surround- like sound, allowing you to enjoy movies without any extra external speaker or sound output equipment.

Excellent news; this with the single pixel defect cover on the Asus Swift shows you boys and girls are leading the way. Must be making a killing on the monitors front :)

Yes our sales have doubled in a year, were now shipping more than 1M in revenue per month on monitors, absolutely amazing. :)

Hi Gibbo,

Great work on this!

I remember some discussion on the Warranty on the 31MU97 in the past, and I faintly recall you were asking LG for the same on those?

Did anything come out of that?

Only UC97 so far.

I need a new monitor in the next few months, will definitely opt for one with a 3 year warranty if spending over £400.

This one looks really nice, but think I must wait just a little longer!

Any update on the warranty on the UC87, which is essentially the same monitor? Or is it just the 97?
