LG Flatron W2600HP 26

Apologies for the lack of reply, the 5800 Series launch has kept us rather busy lately. LG have still not come back to us which I am amazed at considering we weren't the only e-tailer to offer the product out at this price.

This has dragged on for a long time now so I would be happy to refund the money back to your accounts and should LG decide to offer the correct monitors at the right price then we will call/e-mail you for payment again. If you would like to change your orders to any other product on the catalog then I would also be happy to provide a discount along with free shipping (if you want to order at a later date instead then just "FAO Slackworth" in the pre-sales section of the customer support forum of what you're after and we'll sort you out :)).

As for the fact we made 20% on this monitor, I can assure you we really didn't. The e-tail market is EXTREMELY competitive and margins can go as low as 3-4% on certain products. LG on the other hand will be making reasonable money.

That is a satisfactory resolution, thank you.

Can I just ask for a refund with a webnote or do I need to make a phone call?

Well that would be just great but it really isn't a good solution for me as I used euros to pay. Because the pound price has gone down in the last month I'd end up loosing closer to 100 euros for this order of two monitors! Sure if I needed some other hardware it would be easy to switch but I don't at the moment.

Do you have any solution to that?

Well that does stink mate, it really does.

I don't like your chances of getting anyone to pay-out for that unfortunately. I would leave your money where it is and hope the exchange rate moves in your favour.

I sent a webnote requesting a refund and stating that i wanted to be notified when arrive. I had a reply from someone else who said they would pass on the message to slackworth. I assume this has been done and i have yet to check to see if my money has been refunded.

Has anyone heard from Slackworth about the refunds? I've left a message in here and in my customer service thread but not had any response as of yet...

I'll reply shortly.:)

There is nothing we can do regarding the exchange rate. We refund the correct amount in pounds.

Please can you post your order number in the customer support forum. I haven't had any webnotes passed on to me.

Now done, please send me an email to confirm you have got my message.

I'm sure I speak for others as well as myself when I say please keep us updated on this thread each week or so on progress as I'm sure LG would be happy to let this one be forgotten.

Do not think these will ever turn up @ the £300 we all wanted.
IMHO... best thing for OcUK to do would be to get the NEC 23" in, offer all of us that order these a £50 discount. At least it would make me happy to order my new build this Xmas.

i've looked at this. bit small for me altough should mean a nice crisp picture at 1920 x 1080. unfortunately my german isn't good enough to read the review linked too. Only stickler I can see is the price- £200 for 22" dell means your paying nearly £100 for the extra inch and pixels.... The dell will be a lot easier to game on.

I think this thread needs a bump. Any news on the monitor?

I haven't written here before, but now that it's been almost three monts since I ordered, this lack of information is finally getting ridiculous (I ordered on 16th of August, so I reckon I'm one of the first ones who ordered). I'm also not willing to get a refund before it's certain nobody's getting the monitor, as I'm one of those who would lose money due to the currency changes.
