will coolers that are made for the LGA1366 work with the LGA1156???

afaik no, its another separate design, though im guessing there'll be backplates to convert

Different hole spacing, so in most cases, no.

Also if water cooling, the EK Supreme will fit.

It sees to just depend on how the holes are in the hold down plate. If its just single round holes they wont fit, if they are long oval sort of shapes sort of like (_____) then theres a good chance it will fit. 1156 fittings are in the middle of 775 and 1366 as far as I know

The EVGA boards all have mounting holes for the 775 coolers
