Till 22nd October i should buy the new Core i5 system but stopped on a case to choose untill i found this Lian-Li...

Wanted to ask you people:

1. Size is it very big on the eye? Bigger than Antec 902? a lot?

2. Will P55 mobos fit in that case?

3. What about CPU cooler? Although for now i would stay with stock of i5...

4. Will the 5850 fit there?

Anyone has this case please comment about it!:D

Cant say for certain, they're similar sizes, but I think its a bit smaller than the 902. Im currently using a PC7 which is the same size and they take full ATX boards easily, currently got an i5 in mine now. Most coolers will be fine too, just measured and theres around 170mm from the mobo to the side of the case, plenty of room there :) Finally, a 5850 will fit but probably not with that hard drive cage where it is. You may have to remove it and install the hard drives in the 5.25" bays using somthing like this

ouch thats bad :(

What bit? Having to mount your hard drives differently? Thats an assumption, not for definate. I just know the latest ati cards are quite long and my GTX275 just about fits in my case if I use the HDD cage. May be better to get sombody using this case to confirm the maximum length card you can fit with the HDD cage fitted

The Asus Rampage 2 also fits in this case and its 1" bigger than standard ATX. :)

The 5850 will fit no problems iirc its roughly the same size as a 4870. I currently have a 4870 in mine and there's plenty room to connect the PCI-E connectors on the back.

Oh and this case is fantastic... the build quality is very impressive and a great case to work on/with. :)

Shilz, I saw in another thread that you have one of these cases. Do you know if the 5870 would fit in there? I've been looking for a good-value case for a R2E and 5870, and the PC-60 is my first choice at the moment.

Hi Josh, The 5870 is 11" long and if your going to fit this in the bottom PCI-E slot then its going to be one very very tight fit or it wont fit at all... i've measured it up and its going to be very close.

Now, if you fit the card into the top slot then there wont be any problem as there is plenty clearance. Even if you fit a 5.2" drive in the 3rd or 4th slot you should still have just about enough clearance.

Im pretty sure Lian Li have made the HDD cage so that you can turn it around to allow bigger cards to fit... I'll have to double check that though as im not sure if its possible on the PC-60FW. It does look like it will allow you to turn it around becuase there are screw holes set up on the underside to allow for removal or repositioning. :)

I'm also looking at the Lian Li PC-60FW, Im looking at upgrading to the ATi 5870 soon.
From what I found from the Lian Li website, the following room is available....

280mm from the Bottom PCIE -- 5870 = 280mm
or
300mm from the Top PCIE slot so that leaves you with a little play.

decision still isnt final with me, either that or I opt out for the harddrive bay adapter, for my old case.
