Lian Li V1000Z Pics

Hate to say it...but it's just a back to front V1000 isn't it?

Well...along the lines anyway, other than the board is inverted.

1) Side window comes with the case
2) Extended powersupply bracket (creates more room)
3) Extra 200mm fan for cooling pci-e cards etc
4) newer HD racks for better ease of use

And the fact that its ATX instead of rATX (and yes aparantly they did this for heat reasons but I duno the details)

thats basically the main things anyway

Suppose the bracket helps on those mahoosive powersupplys.

Yeah true about the window, luckily mine came with when I brought it.

Mine came with that fan too, but I couldn't use it as my VGA cooler got in the way...however it might fit now...hm.

Are the hdd racks removable then?

Whats wrong with rATX then? seems to have helped me more, as the power supply is at the bottom of the case...Makes it easier to plug in the motherboard connectors around the cpu.

Only way I can see it helping is due to heat perhaps?

(Sorry, didn't catch your edit before posting.)

Any chance of the pa120.3 fitting internally on the roof or is space too tight? Im really considdering one of these for my first watercooling build but I've decided I want it all internal.

I thought the PCI-cooling fan was 140mm. A BS-04.

Could be, tbh I havent measured it, it just seamed very BIG so i thought 200mm :)

erm, if you move your optical drive down 1 bay I dont see why not, personally I'l be mounting mine on top, make use of the pre drilled tube holes :)

It was more clearance against the motherboard/components I was concerned about, Im not saying mounting it on top is worse, just after a bit of input from someone that owns one.

I bought this case a few months back now, it is definitely a beauty and the best case I have ever used.

But mine has developed an annoying hum, coming from the right hand side panel, it stops when I apply light pressure.

Just wondering if you have noticed anything of the sort from your case jonnylaris.

Sounds like a similar problem to the one PC7s tend to have, the best bet is to use some blue tak on the inside of the side to stop the vibrations

I'm pretty sure it's the 140mm as I stated above, Lian Li don't do a 200mm PCI cooler.

By default it's set to exhaust, but it can be easily flipped over if you prefer.

Yeah, just realised that myself - still interested though.

I'm just not sure if it'd fit as I've got the HR-03 cooler on my 8800GTX and it sticks out quite a bit.

Edit: BS-06 is the part number right? They don't seem to be available anywhere...

I'm in the same situation.

I have the 120mm PCI cooler, and I'm considering the Arctic Cooling S1 but worried they'll 'knock heads'.

The 140mm version is very rare to buy on its own. I got the BS-02 (120mm) from a certain auction site.
