Lian Li V1000Z Pics

Well i returned my case and the retailer said they have had several returns due to i/o ports not lining up correctly.

They got a new batch and tested a case; they said the problem still existed but was not as bad.....

I ended up requesting a PC-A77 as a replacement. Got it sitting here next to me. Will test it out when I get home.

jonnylaris,

How did you manage to take out the drive cage?
There is no way that it can slide out because the case has a lip on the bottom.

I unscrewed the 12 or so screws attaching it then just bent in the sides and pulled it out, i did it properly and re-bent it back into shape after so its re-usable :). Can't say the operation was easy tho!

The case comes with an extended bracket for longer PSU's. A regular bracket is also included for short PSU like Corsair etc.

I just noticed the PSU is upside down. You should flip it back so you have better air circulation. That PSU is starving for air.

I'm hope you catch this post as I was wanting to ask you a quick question...

How did you tidy up your main board cable? looks like yoou used an IDE cables rubber end? cant make it out though?

I'm working on my lian li v2110 at mo, and this is one of my biggest gripes! considering doing this (5th picture down!)

and using brade on each wire, looks a lot better, but one hell of a faff.

Damn that is one seriously nice looking case.
A full tower case would be a bit on the large side for me though (something a bit bigger than my PC-60, where as the A70 is 145mm taller and 100mm deeper), maybe if they removed the top PSU slot that would allow it to be shorter and make it into a midi tower.

I notice you've removed the support bar aswell, was that much hassle?

The case in above link isn't mine, I could only wish!

But I have removed support bar and it is so easy, 4 screws two at the base and the two at the top are looking straight at you,

There where the red squares are on this piccy
