Anyone else find that whenever they import a file from lightroom to photoshop all Exif data is stripped from it? I understand that when using RAW files lightroom creates a new TIFF file which only contains the image... However is there a method of preserving the EXIF information from lightroom into the edited file?

cant say ive noticed it my exif data is still there as far as i can see

whats this about creating a new tiff file? they way it works for me is that it uses the raw file and exports the processing to the xmp file

Never had any problems with losing the EXIF myself. As above, the untouched RAW is maintained and alterations are stored in the .xmp file.

The Raw file always remains fine, however my TIFF never seems to be exported with any EXIF data on it... maybe I have a setting wrong someplace?

i will try exporting a tiff at some point to see if i get the same problem, have you tried opening the raw file in photoshop instead of using a tiff file ? then if you really need to work with tiff export it from photoshop its self?

i shoot in raw, process in lightroom and export to CS2 to resize and save as jpg. exif is still there.
