Lightroom.

Never used Aperture and I would never buy a Mac.

I just love my PC gaming too much so if I was going to put down £1000+ on a new computer, it would be Windows based

I've been toying with the idea of buying a Mac to run lightroom.

but then, I'm just wierd...

Used them both plenty before I made my decision... Lightroom won

Aperture feels like the application iPhoto should be.

Lightroom feels like a pro app that ties in seamlessly with the rest of Adobe Creative Suite.

I haven't used Aperture much, though it is an extremely good application. If I were to choose one, then it would have to be Lightroom - not because it's better necessarily, as they both do very similar things, but because of the integration with PS and the rest of the Adobe packages, as said above.
