Hi,

I am coming up to the end of a 12 month contract on O2. When I renegotiated the contract last year I got a great deal including a new 6230i, 500 free anytime xnet minutes and 300 messages for £15 a month.

I would like to stay with the contract I'm on, but would really like a new phone; nothing too special; just an updated model.

If I was to ring them up is it likely I could stay on the same contract and get a new phone or would they not be prepared to let me stay on this contract plus give me a new phone for free. I don't think there has been more than one month where my bill has exceed the £15, and only then by a couple of pounds.

Thanks in advance.

I upgrade my wifes line, admittedly the deal wasn't as good as that but I only pay £19 a month for 50 minutes and 500 text, o2 have line rental bandings and sub £20 you're on the full bananas upgrade charge.

K800i they wanted £119, I threatened to leave (its a bit like the bartering bit in the life of brian, they know you're going to do it) and they took £50 off.

£69.99 for a k800i I think is reasonable on that sort of line rental and I expect you would get the same deal.
