Little bugs - what are they?

EDIT:
Found an old pic.

Not sure what I'm looking at but that is good to know

I've actually noticed a few tiny bugs on the surface of my laptop screen when I've turned it on recently, I don't think they are thunderflys though as they seem too small, they are no bigger the the size of a dot on the letter i, you can only really notice them on a white background and they move very slowly,

Any ideas?, I have a feeling they may be dust mites although I'm not sure tbh.

Ah, thunderbugs.
Remember a few years ago at the Air Tattoo in Fairford i was talking to some American pilots and they had no idea what these 'black dots' were. They were quite amused when I told them we called them thunderbugs.

Goes to show what a good education we get.

I hate these mother******* thrips on this mother******* monitor.

But seriously, I had my window open all spring with a mesh to stop the big beasties getting in like spiders, yet had to close it because of these stupid bugs. I hate how if something can get in anywhere, thrips will have a competition to find the stupidest places to die.

Been covered in these little blighters all day, annoying things and they get everywhere. Tis all right once it cools off though because they all retreat to god knows where. An advantage of urban living is not encountering these things.

They get into your monitors and die there. FACT.

One got into my pride and joy Dell 24" monitor about 6 years ago, cost a bloody fortune. The little pest is still there to this day. They are slow light they just seem to stay stuck where they were when they died, ie defy gravity.

Had a much cheaper del monitor at work and one of the little things got into there as well. Obviously Dell leave/left some kind of vents that they crawl through. I would turn off a monitor if i saw one in it alive now and put a light near the rear vents at the top in the hope of attracting it out.

With the dot pitch on my 24 it looks like a comma in excel ^^

In your bathroom?

Isnt really a house really... :p

And that's why I'm afraid of moving my monitor. To my study. Although having a PC for bathroom work would increase my productivity a bit. Or I would just end up having a tommy tank every time I went to the bog.
