Little heater or central heating ?

Yeah about same here i am getting a 750w heater tomorrow for my room, Parents didnt want me to get one because the electric fire downstairs eats electric they said lol...when i saw it was a 4kw no wonder

Unless it had some special wiring circuit for it... Unlikely it was 4kw
The max you can put through a normal plug in the wall socket would be 3.1k :D

Our heating is up and down like a yo-yo. Inefficient cheaply built house . :(

I really don't understand how people think bar heaters or oil filler electric heaters are more efficient than a electric fan heater?, makes no god damn sense electric heaters are 100% efficient, any type.

erm just put the central heating on haha

by the time you by oil heaters and electric for them you might as well have had the heating on and heated the full house

either way you will have to pay to keep warm

Halogen heaters = Cheap to buy and run, but too bright. The light is really irritating. Not designed to last more than a few months usually.

Fan heaters = Cheap to buy, expensive to run. Will probably last a year before breaking.

Oil filled radiators = Relatively expensive to buy (for a decent one) & takes ages to heat a room, but very efficient once they get going. Will last years.

Our house is always cold. Boiler not working at the mo as waiting for a part with British Gas, should be tomorrow and then it still might not work!! So, no heating or hot water at the mo.

Wife just gone down Argoos for a fan heater, £50. At least we can put it where we want etc, especially with 4 year old ikn the house.
