Live to 100

70's seems a reasonable age to get to, would like 100 if I am still going strong, not sitting about alone doing nothing/unable to do anything.

Just have to hammer past 54 and out do my dad.

I'd be happy with 80/85. Although if by the time I reach that age and healthcare etc is advanced enough to keep me physically fit and mentally (not a cripple, wheelchair bound, unable to wipe my own ass etc) then I'd happily live as long as possible.

Can't see it happening, even though i was very active growing up and through out my teenager years. but with me being a fan of drink and a smoker I can never see me hitting 100. Plus add on 5 years of partying and everything that comes with that doesn't help.

I plan to die a few years after I retire in a massive blaze of glory. I don't want to spend the last few years of my life the same way I started (ie: in nappies)

There is a difference between living to 100 and surviving to 100. I'd take the former and pass on the latter, please :)

You put it much better than I could have! Hence my plans go just to absolutely mental on retiring. I don't plan on having any dependants so it's party time! :D

I'm not active enough and eat too much junk food, so not me!

Recent studies show that reaching 100 is far more down to genes than anything else. There's one study , can't remember the name, where they had 300 people over 100 do an interview, only 3 of them had been athletes and many of them had lead very ordinary lives, doing no more exercise than the common man.
