Liverpool Street Closed!

Hi all,

I'm an idiot and have a bad sense of direction and work 2 minutes away from liverpool street station and word is going round that it is shut (haven't confirmed this yet)

If Liverpool street station has been closed can anyone advise how I can get to Shenfield or Upminster (can get a lift from Upminster)

What if main line services aren't running?

Yep just looked outside my window and there is police protection tape up outside Liverpool Street station.

Nothing mentioned on the radio though :/

I was assuming that it was up for rush hour control, and haven't considered how I am going to get home as was planning to go out for dinner. I usually get the train from London Bridge but heard that is closed too.. leaving Jubliee line the next option.

I suggest you find a tube station that is open and try that

Looks like weather related problems across large parts of the tube from that link.

Last time this happened to me was during the Hurricane.
Go to the Black cab rank and find people to share a cab with you. I got three other dudes onboard and split the fare.
Not cheap but i got home

"get a load of guys to go with you to get oblitorated and stay in a hotel"

Sounds like a plan

I request a restructuring of the title of this - as a former resident of Scouseland, I immediately thought that this referred to a street in Liverpool. I have friends there.

"Liverpool Street, London, Closed!" would be more appropriate.

Genuine request.

However, if you insist on going home, then Tower hill next to Fenchurch St will get you to Upminster on the District Line.

OK so the dome thingy (made out of glass) got blown in at the Great Eastern Hotel... this building is adjacent to Liverpool St station.
