Living room setup advice

So centre 80 hz, 60 hz left and right, 80 hz atmos, 120 hz on sub (all on the demon)

What should I set on the sub for the low pass frequency. I’m using the SVS app

Thanks again

What are you Atmos speaker model? Try 120hz Denon sub, also 80hz, some people find 120hz boomy, but lfe channel can go upto 120hz so setting otnat 80hz will discard 80-120hz. It doesn't get redirected to other speakers.

You want to bypass the svs low pass you want to put it in lfe mode in the svs app
You may need to do manual level calibration as crossover settings can alter levels, buy a dB meter

Probably set ams to 90hz

You have a avr, so that does bass management. When using a avr you want to disable the svs own low pass.

You only use the svs low pass if you sent it full range audio in a hifi system

Done - thank you really appreciate the help.

Understood - all disabled.

Anything else you would do?

Finally very happy with it.

I have a spare set monitor radius 90’s and a set of 45’s I could add to make it 5.1.2 in the near future.

You can either use as proper heights near the ceiling or go 7 floor channels.

Add another sb3000.
Upgrade your AV amp
Add a stereo integrated amp for superior two channel
Get a power amplifier

Thanks. All good ideas. I don’t use for music so stereo amp not needed.

Amp I’m on. My plan was to get the denon 3700 replacements when the new models come out in November. Anything you would suggest? I don’t mind waiting a bit.

What’s a power amp for?

It's to replace some, or all of the avr power amplifier stages.

You can get amplifiers with one, two, three and more upto twelve in one box. Or have multiple boxes. If you want more power and more control of the speakers.

If you listen to music from CDs then adding a stereo amp is worthwhile as avrs generally aren't the best for sound quality.

The anthem avrs are good with one of the better room correction systems

You can't add power amplifiers to your existing Denon, it lacks pre outs.

If you do add another SB3000 you'd need another AVR as the better ones have seperate sub outputs that'll time align two subs.
