(original image is 8x bigger!)

K100D with 18-55mm lens, tripod. Stitched using Hugin.

Might be one I think about getting printed + framed for an xmas pressie! :)

ive been doing afew panoramas lately, getting obsessed with them :D
love that shot, just shows so much more of the landscape and scenery

where are you thinking of getting it printed at?

don't be disheartened by this as there is nothing you could have done about it, but the sky really spoils what would have been a stunning panorama, i don't know where you live but i'd be so tempted to go back on a nicer day and do it all again. apart from the sky though, it's a well executed project and still looks good. great job :)

I have got to agree with Wez, the grey sky spoils this picture. If only there was a bit of blue sky and some sunlight on the far bank to really bring ou tthe autumn colours. Still a nice picture though:)

I have to agree as well you did an excellent job in the conditions but sadly that sky isn't really condusive to an excellent picture. Also maybe think it could benefit from a bigger dof to bring more of it into sharp focus, i'd definately go back if you can.

Thanks for the replies.
Yes, I will be visiting again, definitely next summer, I doubt I'll have time again in the forseeable future to try and get a nice autumn day blue sky shoot. Mind you it's only an 80 minute drive or so....

16 Shots taken at F/11, I find if I stop down any more than that the Pentax 18-55mm lens gets a little more soft.

Going to try getting it printed at photobox, however it'll depend on how it will fit with their 20" by 8" panoramic print size.

:)

-- Edit --

Had a little play with the image, tried removing haze by local contrast enhancing, dunno if I've overdone it though:
