Hi all

Just a quick question .. Ive just recently been having issues with the door that allows me to get in and out of my flat, issues being i can lock/unlock it from the outside but when it comes to locking/unlocking from the inside it only locks and wont unlock. I obviously need to get this sorted but was wondering is it my job to do it or the landlords? as I didn't actually break it the lock is dodgy .. I don't feel I should have to pay to fix it when it isn't my fault and also tenancy agreement does say unless I break something myself its up to them to sort it.

Thanks

It's the landlord's issue. Before changing the lock it might be worth asking him if he has any more keys. Things like this often happen if you have a worn key or a copy made from a copy.

Indead it would probably be against the term of your lease to change the locks.

What would have been funny is if a ninja moderator had jumped in and closed the thread before anyone replied. And said "Ok then, if you want it locked".
