Logitech Customer service -GREAT!

Hey guys,

Well I brought a Logitech Mx518 3-4 months ago, broke 2 weeks ago therefore wanted a new mouse, however a friend told me to ring up Logitech Directly well I did, and they are posting me a new one which will arrive in 1 week time !

Great there... :)

I have to post back to Switzerland the Usb Plug part of it though, he said just cut it off, why do they want that? I will post it but just wondering.
 
I think they want the USB part to ensure that you actually have the mouse :p rather than just saying it broke :D. As if the consumers lie!
 
Oh nice, as the thing is somone could cut of the USB plug of any mouse and send it as they are all the same...

Also in 1 phonecall too :p

Nah, iirc its so you can't use your old one, but there's nothing stopping a consumer attaching a cable from something like a pilot mouse instead ;).

You'd need a valid MX518 serial number though ;).
 
Same thing happened with my Momo. I had it around 4 months and started gtting some problems so i rang them and they sent out a replacement.
The guy told me to send the USB plug and bin the old momo. OK. :p

Of course i wouldn't dream of finding the fix on the interweb and keeping it as a spare. :D
 
Haha, yeh how could I fix my mx518? lol...Think it might jsut be the usb connector as it wont power?

Also, not on msn mate? Malc
