Hi all,

I was getting really fed up with the mighty mouse when playing COH the other night (I pressed RIGHT click damn it!!), so I decided to make use of OcUK's special deal on the Logitech G5 mouse.

It arrived today and I have just plugged it in and all is working fine, but the disc that has the software to enable it to work at 2000dpi says it is Vista/XP only and on checking the Logitech site the downloads are also for Vista/XP only. I know I am gaming in Vista, so its hopefully its not going to be a problem over there, but I was surprised I won't be able to configure / use it to its full potential on OS X. Any ideas?

Cheers :)

something like usboverdrive x or steermouse should allow you to customise your G5. Both are not free, shame logitech or apple don't fully support customization.

You can map expose functions to the mouse however in system preferences.

Logitech have a software called control centre which i use to configure my peripherals for OSX. Im not sure if it will help with your 2000dpi query but it's worth checking it out.

the g5 isn't supported by the logitech utility. I sold mine and bought the mx revolution instead. I prefer it to the g5 and it's supported so you customise the buttons etc
