Hello all.

I'm looking to build myself a new PC for gaming and streaming.
I'm currently using a Acer predator Helios 300 laptop connected to my 1440p monitor and now it's starting to struggle, especially when streaming.

So I just need a system, no OS and I already have monitor, mouse, keyboard etc
Budget wise I don't want to go over £15-1600 and also needs a motherboard with wi-fi (prefer MSI boards also)

I'm thinking a 5600x paired with a 3060ti would be the best combo at this price?
Almost forgot, case has to be the Lian li 011D mini in black

Cheers all

Just a quick highjack... (I'm theory crafting an upgrade based around a 3060ti and 5600x :) )

Why the Platinum over the Gold? better PSU obviously, but I see most recommendations are Gold?
No reason particually more the fact a 750w psu at a good price which will allow a jump to a 3080 if needed in the future.

Crucial did bait and switch with that and it's QLC drive I wouldn't put into this price PC.

WD Blue SN550 would be better with TLC and even high end Black SN750 is now well priced.
WD Blue SN550 1TB SSD NVME M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3 Solid State Drive (WDS100T2B0C)= £74.99
WD Black 1TB SN750 M.2 2280 NVME PCI-E Gen3 Solid State Drive (WDS100T3X0C)= £89.99

Also instead of that cheap construction overHyped 212 with gaps in between heatpipes both Arctic Freezer 34 and Alpenfohn Brocken Eco Advanced have better newer design with continuous/next to each others heatpipes forming base.
With most of heat proddction in very small area, best to to have more heatpipes over/near it.
Arctic Freezer 34 CPU Cooler - 120mm= £24.95
Alpenfohn Brocken ECO Advanced CPU Cooler - 120 mm= £29.99

No reason particually more the fact a 750w psu at a good price which will allow a jump to a 3080 if needed in the future.
And with cramped for cooling SFX form factor PSU having beefier component sizing is good thing.

Cheers chaps, I seen ocuk do a AMD prebuild for £1600 with a 6800xt, so potentially look at that with a few changes if possible.

If I go all AMD build, will the streaming/recording be a big hit on the CPU as obviously no Nvidia encoder that's on my current 1660ti

Nvidia graphics cards have huge CPU overheads to overcome to start with. The CPU requirement on Radeon cards is much lower so I’d think it would be OK.

I don’t game and record at the same time though.
