Hi all, I am looking at one of the X1800xt on Overclockers and was wondering if there was any difference between the brands or is it the chipset and architecture is virtually the same on them all.

Also, could anyone tell me if this would give good performance with a A64 3200, 1Gb RAM, like what score to expect on benchmarking. Thanks.

Anthony

Id just go for the cheapest as they are all the same, only differances are what pics they have on the coolers, and what sofware you get, also warranty time may be different to. :)

Not sure on a A64 3200+, may get around 8k or more on 05, i get about 8.6k odd on an A64 3500+, so you may only get slightly less, 8.4k or there abouts, can't really see the differance being that huge. :)

Be a huge increase in performance gaming wise, i went to mine from an x800 XT PE, and its incredible. :D

yes it will give a good boost and i get 220fps in the source test with everything on max apart from AA at 1360 x 768, which should give you a better pic of what it can do apart from some stupid 3dmark number, 3dmark should be destroyed in my opinion its pointless

I know what you mean about 3dmark. Sometimes I wonder if these people who get these mega results acctually prefer getting an extra 100 marks in it (which probably isnt even a 1% increase) than acctually playing games!

As LoadsaMoney said; Just go for the cheapest, they're really all the same. :)

You'll get great performance out of it, even with your Athlon64 3200+, but I would recommend overclocking it if you want to really unleash the beast. I took my 3400+ to 3700+ speeds at first, and the difference was pretty astonishing, then I took it to 3800+ speeds and it was even better. :D
