am tempted to get a M-ATX Z77 and get the 3770k

reason for the m-atx is i can get a much better board, i dont need all the extra PCI's etc for less money.

Currently have i7 950 on a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5 Intel X58 v2.0

unsure how good this one is??

Gigabyte G1.Sniper M3

I guess I just want something new, and I guess I could sell my current CPU and mobo for a little money towards it?

Am torn against the gene or sniper, and maybe the CPU I mainly just game.. An it never really pushes my 950

So not to worried abit maxwell as the reviews I read are steering towards it more of a mobile chip ??

Haswell is for laptops and desktops, its suppose to be more power efficient so will be better in a laptop.

A good CPU for you would be a i5 3570K, it's got an unlocked multiplier so the board can make full use of it, it doesn't have Hyperthreading like the i7 but luckily games don't use this feature.
