So my mum's computer card has crapped out. There are lines all over the screen and the card itself looks pretty melted. I need to buy another, around £30 ish. It needs to be good for 2D things (2D games, normal application use, web browsing etc). 3D games like farcry, cs, etc will not be played on it so there's no need for any super card. I have an old mx440 geforce 4 in my studio computer and thats worked quite well, but i'm sure there must be some better 2D cards out there. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
 
i think (but not certain) that 2d graphics were maxed out on gfx cards a long time ago, so why not just get a pci 9250 se, should be fine for what you need/
 
For what you want to use it for I'd keep an eye out for a cheap PCI Graphics card on the MM.
If not any card will do in my opinion.
