Little help please?

I have struggled for years with the cable management in my trusty Antec P180. Now when I first got it (About 2005?) I thought it was brilliant, it was quiet it was sleek and it was massive!

However the years have not been kind, and as I’ve since discovered I get better cooling in an Asus Vento, that cost less than £20. I know what you’ll tell me, better fans, better cooler, but I tried, I had a Zalman CPNS 990 at first, which was traded for a Noctua NH-U12P, the original case fans went from tri-cools to Akasa Ultra Quite to Scythe Kaze and now Apache blacks, but it’s still very poor.

Now I’ve been spending a bit lately, and this has become my secondary workstation, so I can risk a bit of messing about without putting myself out of business, and since I got hold of a Lian Li for my SR2 my dissatisfaction has peaked.

The missus tells me if I spend any more money on those EXPLETIVE REMOVED computers she will kill me, so at great personal risk, I’m looking for a replacement.

The important part, what goes in:

Asus Rampage Extreme 2 / I7 920 / 6gb XMS 3 / Noctua NH-U12P / GTX 480 / 2x500tb 1x1tb 1x2tb / Optical drive. PSU is a Seasonic 750w modular.

Now water cooling is out, I have too many machines to faf about with it I’m already maintaining what is practically a full IT department here so I don’t need any more work. Also I can’t plumb in a tap without a leak, it’s some kind of genetic fault!

So, to summarise the wall of text;

I’m looking for a new case to keep a i7 cool on air, preferably reasonably quietly and fairly discreetly, no foul moulded plastic teeny tat or over bright LED, not really into windows either, as it sits below the desk.

As I’m just pondering at this stage, budget is open, and I’m just looking for suggestions please, I’m also happy to have a play on this one.

What would OCUK Do?

FT02 is THE air Cooling case as far as i'm concerned. I went to it from my P180 (b) and can't imagine using anything else now. Expensive, but you can buy a good condition one second hand for around £150.

The 650D is pretty but there have been a lot of complaints about the noise. It was my second choice.
