Fan noise should be a key part of laptop specs, clearly identified!
I personally think it is pretty bad.
Maybe I expected too much (considering it has a 1gb discrete graphics maybe I should have expected the noise?)
Upon searching google it seems there are a lot of people complaining about the noise this laptops fan produces.

sometimes it's not just how much, but the type of noise too. High pitched wine for example can be extremely annoying to me not matter how quiet. In the end I had to RMA a OCZ PSU back because of the horrible high pitch it emmitted.
The sammy 700G7A for example, does have it's fans kick in and pumps out a good amount of head when under load, but as the vents are big, the fans just do this nice low volume whoosh sound that doesn't even disturb the GF watch TV (and that's saying something!).
