Looking for new LLU provider

For the past few days I've been having problem with my o2 connection. Falling from a rock stable 2.7 mb/s to a shockingly slow 1 mb/s, and with o2 not being able to sort it out I'm going to change providers. I really wanted to hold out until Sept when BT Infinity becomes avaliable to us, but with about 4 computers using the internet at once, 1 mb/s is just too slow.

What provider should I change to? Ideally I'm looking for something with a Fair Usage Policy of around 200gb, as my family enjoys online streams and downloading a fair amount of music. This is my exchange: http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/LNRAI

And these are my router stats, and ideas what speeds I should be getting?:
Code:

Do you have the stats from before it all went pear-shaped? Since you're only syncing at 1.59mbps there, it looks like it might be your equipment or line that's the problem - not O2.

There's some slight room for speed improvement with that SNR, but not much. Might be worth getting a line test done, but they're not always reliable.

As it's a sync issue, moving ISPs is unlikely to help you. BT Infinity, on the other hand, probably will.

Unfortunately I don't have the stats before it went crazy. I tried another two routers as well, and BT has done a line test too. They also came over to check everything was fine, and couldn't find a fault. O2 also did their own tests, and found no problems as well. Very strange...

So I guess I would just wait for BT Infinity since moving to another provider won't help? Saying that I have seen quite a few BT vans around...

Depends where the issue is. If it's between the house and cabinet, then true. If it's past the cabinet then FTTC would eliminate that part of the circuit.

If all the checks have been done then I'm stumped - though I've also noticed my router (also on the O2 network) syncs 0.5Mbps slower than it used to - but that's 7.5Mbps down to 7.0Mbps, which I can obviously live with.

Well changing to BT since it's cheaper overall, and we'll get a free upgrade to Infinity when it becomes avaliable. Now here's the weird part... The morning after we gave BT the MAC code, after a few hours of the usual unstable 0.8mb connection, we get an email/text from o2 with the usual leaving message, and at the same time for some reason the speeds shot back up to normal . Is o2 trying to persuade us back to them?

syncing speeds, errors e.t.c are purely down to your connection to the exchange. your router stats show a CRAP LONG PHONELINE, not a bad isp.
FTTC will be better for you

Greetings,

The thing i find strange is that in the 2 stats you posted you Line attenuation changed,

First :
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 28.3 / 48.5

Second :
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 28.9 / 49.0

Ok so it did not change by much, but Attenuation should not change.

I am guessing you are in the test port ok?
