As title I have a Gigabyte GA-X99-SLI with on-board M.2 connector and was wondering what read/write speeds i would get with it?
It's described in the manual as a "M.2 connector (M2_10G) (Socket 3, M key, type 2260/2280 SATA and PCIe x2/x1 SSD support)" but have no idea what that means in terms of what speed it operates at.
No point buying a 7,000MB/s one if it only supports 2,000MB/s :)
Thanks.

Thanks Dg834man, Yeah was looking at getting a 1TB one do you know if that will run at it's full speed 2400/1950 using the on board connector or would I be better getting an adaptor card and pluging it into a PCI-E slot?
