Looking to buy a digital camera - Advise me ;)

Ok, I'm looking to buy a digital camera mainly for just school and outtings.. I dont need anything way too over the top just something around £200 will do me nicely..

Preferably the highest megapixel camera (Any chance of 10 or 12?) I can get for that price however I want it to have a decent zoom and good quality lcd screen.

I'm not into cameras as such like I know some of you are and only use digital cameras to take normal photos, not amazinly good proffesional ones.. Im just a general user.

So any advice as to which to buy would be appreciated
