Looking to create a portfolio

Apologies if this has been posted before

Looking to create a portfolio for my photography work and was wondering how to go about about it?
I'm going to go ahead with wordpress for now, so i'd need a domain which I can get from tso host?

Is there anything else I should know or consider before I decide to go ahead with it, or any tutorials available?

tsohost or vidahost get the recommendations from here. Plenty of themes for Wordpress, try and get a short memorable domain name!

So it's as simple as finding a wordpress theme and applying to my page?

Just trying to think of a simple name for the site

install wordpress, go into dashboard and then themes, search for themes...
apply chosen theme and straight away your site takes the appearance of the theme. Add a few nice plugins and away you go...

Sounds simple! Though would not having any clue on html or other language be a problem?

Might get round to buying the 'Standard' web hosting from TSO host tonight actually, i'm guessing the standard version would be capable of holding up a wordpress portfolio?

sure will and they have one-click wordpress install. you need no knowledge of html, all the editing etc. is done within wordpress. however, if you wish to tweak the theme, then you need knowledge of php, css and html. most little tweaks and changes can be made with plugins however...

kewl...I recommend w3total cache, wptotwitter,wp-mobile,socialise for starters.
