I live Plymouth city centre, it's certainly nowhere near as rough as say london or manchester.
A few ****** about but I really enjoy living in Plymouth on the whole. Lots of good places to drink, right by the sea, close to lots of nice beaches, good shopping amenities, cheap.
Exeter is far too busy. And yes it's more upmarket definitely but it's not half as much fun.
All the guys I go out with **** themself about union street "don't go up unless it's a student night" if you ask me, it's so much better when it's not a student night. I quite happily walk down there at 3-4am alone and then cut through all the backalleys to get to my house.
I think it's that girl who got stabbed in walkabout given it a bad rep, but that could have happened on north hill or anywhere.
