Can't call either having good value for the money with quite a few pretty much randomly selected parts.
Both have pretty much some substandard parts per price/or something lacking the proper usage life I would expect from such expensive PC.

And then there's ludicrously substandard (brand hype overpriced) size SSD for the price.
Around that budget we should start talking about 2TB SSD to take many big games.
Wintoys10 and some Modern Warfare basically reserve half of that budget PC size SSD.

For example in graphics card you won't get any future proofness regardless of price.
You'll just pay more and more overprice.

Anyway at that budget level would also make sure that those other areas, like monitor and audio are at good level.
(especially audio keeps its usefulness/value long)
So do you have those already at good level?

thanks for your help guys! Out of interest for the extra £500 on the first build would there be much improvements in performance?

Depends on your screen. 240hz 1440p/ 200hz 1440p ultra wide or 144hz 4k then hands down 2080ti .
Anything else save cash on 2080 super .
Next gen consoles will be around the 2080s level
