Hi there

Well I was not expecting the Mustang to sell so soon.

I had my first viewer on Monday and he has given me an offer not to far from my asking price so I've accepted.

He's owned 3 Porsches including two GT3's and he was amazed with how the car drove and that was in the wet. He is gonna speak to his bank tomorrow regarding a transfer and collect it either one day this week or next week if all goes well or as long as he does not waste my time.

I did have a motorsport tuning company coming up to the view the car next week who were interested in tracking the car but I can't risk waiting around and possibly loose a sale on a car that has a limited market appeal.

I will be very sad to see her go, but she is going at a price that I'd be stupid to refuse and as much as I love the car I fancy a change. They guy has told me when he comes to selling in 6-12 months he will let me know first in case I want to buy back.

At the moment I feel sad that the best car I've owned is going but in a way am looking forward to having something new to play with, just hope I've not made a wrong decision.

Here is a couple of pictures of the car:-

P.S. ?

Surely such a statement deserves a thread in its own right!

I guess I'm missing things you've already posted Gibbo, but,
1, Why goto the expense & time of getting the 'Stang as you did, to sell it so relatively soon?
2, I'll miss seeing it around Fenton!

3, Whats the sale revenue going on! :)
;)

Well, I can't wait to see what replaces it and, perhaps more to the point, what you then do to it!

Visits to Oc/Uk won't be the same anymore somehow.......

How much?

Hi there

A couple of K under my asking price. I priced it high to delay the sale, but clearly that did not work as the first person to see it wants it and is paying so close to my asking price. Still he is getting a fantastic car and knows it considering he has owned Porsche GT3's and needless to say he was impressed with how the car drove.

He was considering a Roush but after he had been in mine he could not believe how much better it was and I think he was set on it from them, plus he preferred the looks of the Saleen to the Roush and said the interior was better on the Saleen over both the Shelby and Roush too.

Hi m8

I went to the expense I did because I am obsessed with modding and tuning stuff. I've enjoyed the car thoroughly for a few months in its state of final completion and done 14,000 miles in the car as its been my daily driver.

Even though I love how the car drives, what am I supposed to do keep it forever because its so good and let it depreciate or move along try something else that I can have fun with and modify. Then try to sell on again whilst making a small profit.

Like the guy buying the Mustang has owned two GT3's which is arguable one of the best handling cars there is, but even he wants a change. I want to try and own as many exotic and rare sports/supercars as I can whilst I am still relatively young.

I think a lot of people will miss the Mustang, but I shall try to make sure the replacement wins peoples hearts as well. :)

RS4 + tuning.

HI there

I was all set on the MTM Audi RS4 supercharger setup, then I realised that German cars unfortunately come with rip off tuning prices that don't even give huge gains. If the kit had been less than 6k and then if I like how the RS4 drives this weekend it may indeed be an option but the MTM kit is 14k which to be honest is daylight robbery. Plus even then its only upto what the Mustang was at performance wise, throw 14k at a Z06 and your looking at 800BHP.
Throw 14k at a Mustang and your looking at 1000+ BHP!! :D

:( sad to see it go. One car i pray i get to see in real life, and hear! Hopefully the new owner is as much an enthusiast.

Whats next, Z06 I hope!

Hi there

At the moment the two favourites are either a white Z4M Coupe with AC Snitzer mods and tuned to 380BHP. Or a yellow Z06 and obviously the tuning will no doubt commence on that at somepoint.

Then other possible options are FQ360, RS4, M6, GT3 or 911 Turbo. Will decide once I've driven them all.

there will be much more stuff available shortly ;)

but i have to say, that black z06 you posted a pic of a while ago, is damn nice. (And i dont like american cars :p)

One memory of that car that will stick in my mind/traumatise me forever: Almost commiting involuntary man-love with Simon due to being squeezed into the back seat at the R/R day

It's time to get a quality car now Gibbo. It's time to order a Z4M.

Hi there

Well if your talking interiors, then yes maybe as I was very taken away with the Z4 M's interior it was beutiful. It did have the individual option but it looked damn great.

I've been looking into these cars and all owners say how great they are but a lot also report poor reliability with numerous things going wrong and one guy even having to have a replacement car. So for a car that sold in small number in the first place to have a few people talking of issues is a little scary. I did like the interior and I did like how the car drove, fair enough it was quick but not in the same league of quickness as the Mustang or the Z06 I drove but I can't say its slow because it still had 340BHP.

Plus the BMW is quite a bit under my budget and as I am looking at houses too at the moment then it adds to a possible house deposit too if I save some money. Only issue is with a BMW is depreciation, if I can get the deal I might be able to get on a Z06 I would be stupid not to buy one because literally in a year or so I could still sell at a profit. I am not willing to post details because its something I don't want others to know, unless of course I don't go for one.

For me my next car purchase has gotta be intelligent, I don't want to loose money or very little anyway. So depreciation factory plays a lot in it for me.
