just looking to upgrade i have around 100-150 to spend on a quick upgrade to keep with the times as my pc doesnt run the newest games as fast as i fondly remeber it to.
Im a big gamer and play a lot of fps games.
Just looking for a couple of recommended upgrades maybe cpu/ram to keep enabling my games to play in full res high quality
cheers

New CPU and more RAM as you said.

and sell your current CPU and spend the proceeds on some more RAM.

I'm not 100% about 45nm support for your board though.

The mobo does support 45nm cpu however your IP35 needs a BIOS update or i dont think it will work depending on when you bought your mobo, the latest batch would most likely have the latest bios installed.
I think you need atleast version 12

Have a look at my thread here to see what your E2180 is capable of when clocked and you can see what you would gain by upgrading to another cpu.

I used a E2140 but it's identical in every way apart from clockspeed and multiplier. I went all the way to 3.6Ghz with it. :D
