Did a search and didn't find this posted yet.

I just ran across this flyer, but haven't had a chance to look for more details yet.

One of the taglines is "Loremo is based on the principle of a captive balloon: Whoever sheds ballast, will pick up speed." But really, now, this thing still boasts better fuel economy than even a motorcycle.

So, does anyone know more about it? Is there any truth to the information in this flyer?

Please discuss.

Think I may have seen this a little while back - if it really is as light as that, and the drag coeff' is as low as that, then it would be very efficient. I'd definitely reserve judgement until a prototype was tested out in the open though :)

It has indeed got my intrest, if its a wind up fair play, but the motor industry's future is somthing im very intrested in, as i can see sports cars as we know them now being very rare in 20 to 40 years.

I *think* this was a student design project. I'm fairly sure I saw models at a degree design show last year.

Some of their figures look a bit dubious, by my rough calcations and using their figures for drag then that car would need to be producing 23kW at the wheels just to overcome aerodynamic drag at 160kph. - They only specify 15kW and there's still transmission/tyre losses to come from that yet
