Lost my theory certificate, will they still let me take my test?

I've got my driving test tomorrow and I've checked what I need and it says I need my theory certificate which I've just found out I've lost. Having given them one to book will they allow me to take it without it, albeit "well we shouldn't..." or will they flat out refuse? I have both driving license parts which I thought was all I needed.

I got my test for the 4th time tomorrow too... as i recall they didnt seem to look at my theory test cert, only the paper part of my driving lic, and my main driving lic.

but dont take my word for it

I think they'll say no. My experience of driving examiners is that they're lazy gits who will do anything they can to get out of taking your test.

They certainly did ask me for my certificate.

All I can suggest is you find out your theory certificate number and see if that will do. Good luck.

You need to show them your theory certificate, if not they wont take you on the test.

He's correct, the provisional license and theory certificate is a must

Try ringing DSA up to make some arrangement or something similar.

Mate of mine got them to fax it to the centre when he lost his, not sure if this is a general thing or a favour done though.

Good luck but the reality of it is they will tell you to get lost and you will lose the money aswell.

I failed my forth test :/

damn recycling van in the road with men recycling, didnt wait for them to move and squeezed thgrough = instant fail.

No you dont need it.. I can tell you this for 100% Certainty...

On your appointment letter.. there should be a number to ring if theres bad weather.. if you ring this number and tell them that you have lost your theory certificate... they will check that you have used your cert and will basically say to you Yes..

I did the same thing on my first test about 2 and a half weeks ago, and there was no problem at all...

That's unfortunate. I only passed on my third, but others have taken more so dont despair.

What do you mean by not waiting for them to move?

I took my driving test without having my thoery test certificate. Ring up the DSA and see what they say, test centres can look up now whether you have the passed or not.

I wouldnt have thought you would need it since you actually need the pass number to book the practical test and i would assume that the whole system is linked so they could just look you up from your photocard license to check... cant remember if they looked at mine or not when i took my test.
