Lost Planet2 is a DX11 showcase screenshots!!

@OP I have to agree the best DX11 I've seen yet and I play at 1080p with a Vsync'd 100fps. You could've chosen better levels to showcase it though, the final levels with the shiny orange lava aren't doing the whole game justice.

I run everything maxxed except AA which is 8xCSAA.

Running on a 920 @ 4.2 Ghz with sli'd GTX480s on water.

Chapter 4 is incredible as well especially the way the new DX11 shader disperses the coloured lights with a very realistic effect. Then that leads onto the awesome Space Shuttle + the Zero-G :D Do not think screenshots can give a clear idea on this game as I tried png & uncompressed bitmaps but they still look flat as it does not capture the DX11 features very well ;)

On your setup you should be able to run 32xAA as I can on my single GTX480 + 980X @ 3.6Ghz it only slowsdown a lot if I apply Multisampling ;)

anyone else find the "keyboard and mouse enabled" tag on a third of them rather depressing :(
That's because when you hit F10 to capture the screenshot it has onthefly input switching & tells you so onscreen.

Something tells me no matter what any PC developers did you would have a problem & find something to complain about in your eyes they cannot win regardless

I mean the fact that it means most of the time you're using a controller to play an fps game.

Yeah i really should stop making all those posts recommending gal civ 2, original fallouts, the stalker series, l4d1/2,the hitman series the Coh games and sup com 1, oh and of course new additio nto the list, mine craft.

Of course I'll still criticise those games faults and warn people of the bad points eg, stalker games epic through but the ending always falls down as they decide to make some big shoot out finale which just does not work with their combat mechanics/engine design because otherwise it would just be worthless fanboy spam which helps no one.

I mean recommending the good games is just wrong, perhaps i should start recommending every broke console port like you?

I gotta say those screenshots look very underwhelming...

The detail on some of them is awesome but the lava (if thats what its supposed to be) looks absolutely diabolical and that god forsaken glare on EVERYTHING makes it look even worse. Not a lot of point making the walls look brilliant only to cover them in white glare and barely bother with the lava which going by those screenshots seems to make up 50% of the game.

The graphics aren't awesome in this game, though from what I saw on the ps3 they looked better than the screenshots in this thread.

The main thing that made it cool was the coop fighting of massive bosses. It's probably worth £20 for that alone (but not £30..damn steam).
