I am just about to buy a new 8700k cpu/motherboard/ram combo.

I am guessing corsair is the best option in terms of this, so is it worth the price for faster ram?

16gb 3600mhz is 219.99
16gb 3200mhz is 218.99
16gb 3000mhz is 184.99

Thanks for the help... just this to sort then order the cpu/board combo.

I would get the cheapest, got 3200mhz myself before Xmas but only because I got a good deal for it, it is a case of diminishing returns (in terms of bang/per buck) after 2666Mhz according to reviews.

Erm, I wouldn't actually say that Corsair is at the moment. Take a look at the timings. Don't quote me on this ( because I didn't get my calculator out ) but I am pretty sure that the increased timings on the Corsair offset the increased operating frequency. In other words, cheapest is best. Either that or choose a different manufacturer with better timings.
