Low SM3.0/HDR score with GTX ??

hey chaps,

running 3dmark06 with the specs below i seem to be getting a rather low SM3.0 / HDR score.

mine comes back with 5000ish wheras i see other people with similar rigs getting the same SM2.0 score and similar CPu score dependent on overclock (i am 3.6ghz E6600) but SM3 scores of 7500 ish

what are other people getting? I have had in the past sporadic shader issues with my card, i am wondering if this is more proof that i have some duff shaders on my die ??

with my gtx at stock i got 48xx in sm2.0 and 49xx in sm3.0. that was with an overall score of 10.8k which is right on the button for a stock gtx and a ~3.25ghz c2d that was with the 97.44 drivers though. havent bothered testing it since.

5000 is definately about right, no idea how you can get the SM3 score up as high as 7500 would need a big GPU overclock I would think?!

the thought of my beloved having to travel to wales for replacement makes my skin crawl!

perhaps its earlier drivers that these freek HDR scores were coming from!

I got a 5-10% improvement on my 06 score with the new drivers, def. worth trying them as well to boost your score (@ james.miller and OP)

oh i have the newest drivers installed, i just never bothered testing it lol
