Hi All

I've currently got a Macbook (Black version)

It has a 160gb hard drive, but this is now getting full and I've got quite a lot more videos that I need to fit on it, so I want to upgrade.

Question is which model and how much will it take gb wise?

I've been searching google and theres many sites that say a macbook will only take a 200gb drive, this is slightly worrying as I would like to put either a 500gb or even a 1tb western digital 7200rpm in it, so I would like someone to clear this up for me.

Also the battery is due for replacement as it's only holding charge for about an hour now when I used to get about 5-6 hours normally, is there any decent replacement out there as judging by the apple site the so called ofiicial one is not that good and differs from the one originally supplied.

3 years old now and still going strong :), hopefully I can get another 3 years from it.

Thanks in advance

It will take any 2.5" Serial ATA drive as long as it's less than 9.5mm in height (nearly all of them are, ones that are taller than this are normally marked as being taller/larger than standard in the details). There is no reason that a 1TB drive should not work.
