Macbook Pro Retina - My impressions

If that hardware had a windows logo it would be £2K

Insane!

I'm in the market for a new laptop, never had a mac before, but no way are they worth that much!. Sticking to windows based stuff.

No, if that hardware came from someone else and without OSX, maybe it would cost less. However, if a manufacturer packed that kind of technology into the size and design Apple did, I bet it would cost around the same (Sony Vaio).

What other laptops are there with that resolution, 750GB SSD, 16GB of RAM for < £3000?

Trackpad use is still terrible under Windows, maybe they'll finally catch up by the time Haswell is released and Intel have subsidised all their new Ultrabooks™, then you can talk ;)

Well it has an amazing looking screen BUT it's jerky for a £2k laptop. I mean scrolling downwards in Safari on Yahoo News wasn't very smooth. For a £2k laptop i'd expect a lot better.

Well done champ, now be a good boy and go play in the traffic.
