Nice sense of drama in the crab spider ones. Honestly, I'm not overly enthused about the first 3, though of those #2 stands out. #6 is far and away the best, great colour and interest.

sorry for asking, but what does a diffuser do?

A diffuser 'diffuses' the light from the flash. Making it a lot softer so that it casts softer shadows. Used heavly in portrait stuff.

I can almost taste that juicy spider in my mouth looking at 5 and 6.

:eek::eek:

Number 6 for the WIN. Where did you go to see these?? They weren't just hanging about in the your back garden where they???

:)

Thanks :D They are in everyones gardens in Aus but whilst I was there it was a bit too wet to wander around in my parents so my father took me to the Uni that he works at and the head of the insect study department kindly let me take a few of them outside in the Uni grounds to take photos of them.

I think I might try calling some of the Universities in London and see if I can do the same here on the proviso that they are allowed to use any of my photos in lectures and the like - they are very good at giving acknowledgements for that sort of thing and I think it's some really interesting stuff.

Thanks for all the comments guys - It's very much appreciated.
