Hi guys

I recently sold an item on ebay through paypal as a new seller. Now Paypal is holding my money for 21 days. I still have 13 days left before they release my funds. In their criteria they mention that I can get my funds early if

1) Buyer leaves positive feed back (which he hasn't done)
2) provide a delivery tracking number which the paypal can verify.

The thing is I sent the item through royal mail 1st class recorded delivery and inserted the tracking number into my paypal transaction. Royal Mail tracking webpage confirms that item has been delivered but the electronic signature is unavailable:confused:.

So guys what shall I do. It seems royal mail didn't do a good job either of providing electronic signature proof and I am just feeling very angry now with the whole incident:mad:.

Edit: I actually need the funds to upgrade my cpu cooler.

Many thanks

You can do nothing but wait really. In the future, if you don't want to be messed around, don't use a company that enjoys playing at doing just that.

Sounds like your options are to wait for a further 13 days tbh mate.

Are you a fully registered, confirmed address user on paypal? Or a new user?

EDIT: just re-read you post that your a new user. Its probably to do with you not having a registered address and bank account on PP etc.

My address is unverified. Is it a good idea to provide further details to paypal about my bank account? When I registered with them first time I only linked the paypal account to my bank card as I didn't want to go any further.

Are there alternatives to paypal in ebay transactions? Also if I phone paypal asking them to release my funds as they have the tracking number, do you think they will comply?

they will not.

Paypals customer services are all Non english people who havent a clue how to use a computer, and only to what a sheet of paper tells them.

they are tottaly useless apart from keeping you on hold so you pay paypal tons to call them.

royal mail 1st class recorded delivery tracking numbers are not supported by paypal...

You need to send by royal mail Special delivery ;)

Think of all the money they make in interest, when they hold a few milion peoples money hostage every month.

last time they did this to me i had sent my item via special delivery and inserted tracking numbers and scanned receipts and proof and allsorts

they still wouldnt release any funds because apparently this wasnt enough proof... emails went back and forwards for days but they just kept making up excuses. the royal mail site even had the guys bloody signature on it !

anyway one phone call and lots of ''can i speak to your manager'' and ''this is causing me a lot of stress, wheres my £700'' got the funds instantly released :o

with the way i was spoken to in emails and by certain staff i genuinly believe they get some kind of commision for palming us off ! like someone says they must make a killing from the interest considering how many transactions they must do this with every day
