Magazines

Subscribe to Singletrack and been bought a subscription to MBR for Christmas. Occasionally buy other mountain bike mags too.

Singletrack subscriptions comes with a digital subscription too, but I can't get into reading magazines online, much prefer to get comfy and read the paper copy.

Used to get Top Gear, GQ and Economist. Haven't for a while now as I never get around to reading them.

dont any more but used to subscribe to CustomPC.

cancel every 6 months and re sub to pick up the new free gift :)

i got a mug, tool kits and a few other bits :)

the tool kit is actually quite good.

litteraly just cancelled my direct debit to RCM&E the radio control flying magazine before seeing this thread
It's good to see that one still going. I used to read it when I was a teenager and dream about making planes from the plans they supplied :)

Don't subscribe to anything but I try and get Focus and National Geographic when I remember. :)

Fhm is the only magazine I buy semi frequently, although I do enjoy reading national geographic when it's about.

New scientist bores me to tears, usually only one article in there I find remotely interesting.

I only read the magazines that come through our door for free - Bristol, Clifton Times, Clifton Life, Arena, Venue. Good coffee-table mags, and 5+ a month free is pretty good.

goodfood subscription

occasionally
computer mag
new scientist
homebuilding and renovating/selfbuild
American car mags

Magazines are still great, online you have to know what you want to look at, it is very hard to browse online. Magazine just has a collection of useful stuff, without the need to search or be overwhelmed.

Clifton life is painful, there was once a feature on which of the many private schools is most suitable for your kid. Then again I'm hardly the target audience :p

Problem with todays magazines they are normally low on content as with the increase of internet mobile phones, internet etc you've read most of the news from news readers, websites etc...

I remember buying Amiga format in 1992 and the Jan 92 issue was over 300 pages. It was a great read and you'd be excited the get the next issue as you had little hope of learning about your hobby via any other means.

nowadays, most magazines are nearly on average a fiver and you get a heck of lot less, low page count and crammed full of one page adverts...

I sometimes buy a PS3 magazine or maybe the odd Formula one or motorsport magazine but the content in them isn't anything i've not read already..

Sign of the times I guess... Mind you, the magazine racks are still fairly well stocked when I take a look, so someone is certainly buying them...

Subscribe to Rock a Rolla and Metal Hammer music magazines but as you say the news features are so out of date with the internet nowadays only really carry on now for the interviews and reviews

really is there a website that offers Digital Magazine Downloads ?

id love the url if thats allowed

Zinio - I use the app on the iPad. Esquire is like £6 for the year, maxim is the same, FHM cost more, some are no difference to print version though.

I get evo and PC Format delivered. Also occasionally get Top Gear and PC Gamer. Work involves lots of hanging around, so magazines are great for staving off boredom.

Used to have a PC Zone subscription before they folded...now it's been moved to PC Gamer.

PC Zone sub here too. Stomached the auto move to PC Gamer till sub expired as I couldn't stand the layout/poor picture quality. (even the pages smell awful!)

I read stuff online now but it's not the same as a hard copy of a mag dropping thru the letterbox.
