Hey, is anyone going to this tomorrow?

I just wanted to know what the gigs there are like?

Casmeister.

I saw Maiden there last time (Dance of death tour). The sound was dreadful from my seat. All you could hear were drums and bass.

I'm half tempted to go down and see if i can grab a ticket. The things stopping me are:
1. Janick Gers is still in the band, and i don't think i can stomach another of his woeful performances.
2. The latest album was so boring.

hehe, i bought the tickets before the new album was released, so i am just gonna go. Since its my first chance to go to a Maiden gig... Just wish it was motorhead again, they were awesome in brussels.

I just hope Maiden is as fun as that one was, but i dont expect it to be :(

I was at the gig in Glasgow on friday night a bit disapointing sound was good but they played the WHOLE of the new album and only 5 older songs.

The setlist has been the whole new album in track order from start to finish then 5 classics. Fear of The Dark, Iron Maiden, The Evil That Men Do, 2 Minutes To Midnight and finally Hallowed Be Thy Name.

I will be going tomorrow to Sheffield and have a seat at the back of the arena so I can just relax and take it all in. The other times I've seen Maiden I've been standing near the front, and everyone knows what that's like!

I've heard the acoustics in the Sheffield Arena are not very good so I'm not expecting much in that repect, but I will still enjoy it regardless. Maiden shows are spectacular and this one will be no different I'm sure.

I don't understand people who bash Janick. He might not be the greatest guitarist that ever lived but he's great on stage and Maiden are a better band with 3 guitarists.

Their new album is very good and I can only imagine how difficult it must be to play the whole thing live.

The show is apparently sold out so the only hope of getting a ticket will be from someone selling one outside.

Well, im at the back somewhere, but that wasnt choice, that was just getting the only tickets that i could :p

What is your row/seat number?

Front Standing :D

Was sitting at the front, just left of the stage last time for the Dance of Death tour.

They are great live and they play a really long set compared to most other bands. Sound wise, from where I was last time, it was great.

Hoping for another awesome performance this time.

I'm too old for standing now ;)

Anyone reckon I could get away with bringing a small camcorder in to record some action? I know I can conseal it, I just don't want some git grassing me up for using it.

I got some short vids and pics quite easily last time - that was just a normal digital camera. Depends how stealthy you can be and how strict they are :p
