Malaysia Grand Prix 2012, Kuala Lumpur - Race 2/20

I'm going to throw a slightly wide ball....

Quali:
Hamilton
Button
Kimi

I've still got hope for Kimi, and the Lotus looks like it's got some promise...

Not sure on Race yet... But thinking Mercedes/RBR will be up there... Not sos ure about the drivers for Mercedes though.. However much I want Schumi to win, I'm still not sure that the Mercedes has a top race pace.

The race I'm thinking of was Silverstone 2008 where Massa spun many many times, while Hamilton won lapping almost the whole field who were on wets while he was on inters.

Where did that Lewis Hamilton go?

Massa to have new chassis in Malaysia

In a statement on their website Ferrari said: “Work has already begun in the Sepang pits to prepare chassis number 294, which replaces the number 293 and will be used by the Brazilian in the second race of the season.

“This choice was taken to clear up any doubts about the unusual performance of his car during the weekend at Albert Park.”
In other words, if Massa is that **** again, he can't blame the car, and he' out on his ear.

Did Massa run over your cat or something?

It's the same car as Australia, just a new chassis.

From the same source the article took -

Felipe has certainly been the target of criticism after the race in Albert Park. But the Brazilian driver is used to this situation and remembers well 2008 when after two races – Australia and Malaysia – he had a zero in the points column and many of the media were calling for him to be fired on the spot. Many of those commentators had to change their minds given that only a few exceptional circumstances – from the piston in Budapest to the pit stop in Singapore to cite the most striking examples – denied him the world championship.

Mr Men, is your allegiance primarily towards Alonso, or to Ferrari as a whole?

Because if its to Ferrari then surely you have to admit that Massa's recent form does not justify his place in a top flight team, especially considering some of the other young talent, Ferrari backed or otherwise, that is about out there.

I know Ferrari do seem to take their time with their decisions (how many races did they run Badoer for a few years back before they finally realised he was more embarrassing than simply not running the second car), but surely Massa cannot have many more poor performances or stupid mistakes in him before he's given the boot?

I support Ferrari, Massa is average and always has been unless the car is really good, Alonso just makes him look even worse, just as he would to most other drivers. 2010 for example every race Alonso won then Massa was also on the podium, apart from Singapore due to the car breaking in Q1(even then Massa got 8th).

This will be Massa's last season at Ferrari, he has nothing to be ashamed about really. I just find it funny he is such a hated figure on here, considering Lewis had to beat him to win his title, now how does that reflect on how good that title win was for Lewis when he just beat a guy like Massa....

If you think replacing Massa will make the car win races then good one :) If Alonso was taking pole and winning races and Massa was 15th then yeah it's time to sack him mid-season, Ferrari is all about Alonso, they let Eddie and Rubens plod around for years as it suited. Changing Massa will not make the car a winner, it's time for Ferrari to start cleaning from the top, Stefano has had long enough.

Really? there is nothing new on it compared to Australia so not sure why you felt the need to have another little hissy fit at Massa.
Read this quote again:

“This choice was taken to clear up any doubts about the unusual performance of his car during the weekend at Albert Park.”
Reading between the lines: 'Clear up any doubts about the car' - Massa or someone at Ferrari has obviously said that Massas performance deficit to Alonso was due to an issue with the car, not necessarily the driver.

If they go ahead and replace the chassis, then Massa has no excuses for being 1 second behind Alonso. ~.2/.3 fair enough, that's about his level.

If he still is not performing after the chassis change, then I'd imagine he'll have some stern questions asked of him by Ferrari management as to why he should keep his seat.

I don;'t think replacing Massa will make the car win races, but it will certainly be a lot closer to where Alonso is putting it with someone like Perez or possibly Bianchi in it. I do agree though that Domenicali should go.

And for what it's worth, with decent competition, Lewis would have not been 2008 champion, but that's another thread in itself ;)

I wouldn't say hated, but we have 6WDCs on the grid and he's taking up one of the only top seats and doesn't justify being there. He's also far worse since his acciedent. That has affected him, be it mentally or physically.
