Well, he was the bears victim and he was prey. If the Police had not shot the bear the guy would have been dinner.

However, parts of the article do read like the bear was some sort of rampaging killbot that used it's mind powers to make the guy jump into the enclosure.

Poor bear.

No I'd have blamed the parents.

If he was mentally handicapped to that extent he should have had an aid. They're probably just saying he is as a result of what happened. That's the way it read to me, anyway.

It would be a much more shocking story, but practically it is precisely the same. It is a wild animal and does what it does. Just because the squidgy pink thing that landed in its house would be tiny makes no difference.

The blame would still be with the zoo for having crap security/safety measures. Mr Bear has no blame attached at all.

It does beg the question why the zookeepers didn't try to tranquilize the bear while the guy was still grandstanding. One sleepy bear could have avoided any injury whatsoever.
