Marantz CD 65 MK II

Hey everyone,

I own the Marantz CD 65 MK II and although it works okay there are issues with the buttons and I originally purchased without the remote (which you can't get anymore).

I was reading about a certain TDA1541A chip on certain models which apparently has awesome potential and also figured I'll have a go on fixing the buttons as well.

I have yet to open it up but would like your advise on it's potential and if it's really worth sorting out?

There's a lot more to teh suond than just a DAC.

I have a highly modded cd-63 with about £250 spent on it, and I stil have the original DAC. WOUld be a pain to remove and not sure if it's even doable.

If modifying then new capacitors all around, some voltage regs, better op-amps, and a new clock with its own PSU should do a nice job
