Has anybody heard of this and is looking forward to it?

I loved Band of Brothers, which ranks amongst some of the best TV series I have seen. I also enjoyed the Pacific, however I had not heard about this one until last week.

Spielberg and Hanks are once again on board with this so I have high hopes that it will be great.

Yup, finally!

I’m enjoying it but it’s not blowing me away.

Probably an awful way of describing it but it feels too cinematic/hollywood. I can’t put my finger on it.

Feel the same, enjoying it 7/10 but it's missing that rawness that BoB had, and I think that's because you don't get that on the ground interaction.

Still enjoying it, just finished part 4.

Finally feel a little depth to some characters but still not enough. You just have to try and get it out of your head about BoB in comparison. Don't think anything will ever come close. This is good in its own right.

Been mentioned countless times already, but the lack of character depth and backstories to any of the airmen has taken away the connection that this series should have been able to develop with the audience, especially given the latest episode.

I can only relate to Buck, Bucky, Crosby and Bubbles and their depth is minimal.

Think that's the single biggest failing with the series so far, as that single handedly stop you from engaging with it and sets it aside from other series.

Yeah I've just watched the latest episode. Still feels it's ok. Buts it's slowly falling off.

I liked the contrast of stories in the latest episode though. How they've ended up in different places.

After watching the latest episode last night, it's so disjointed. First raid on Berlin, nothing shown of the mission, just lots of planes gone. Those two guys escaping in France, looked like a story was developing there, then suddenly they are riding bicycles on the base and back on a plane to the States! The 'great escape' in the camp, hardly a mention.
I can only assume a lot of stuff was left on the cutting room floor to get it down to 9 episodes. Think there's only two left so this is all going to come to an unsatisfying screeching halt.

Agree, really disappointed following latest episode, they could have done so much more. Feel like they really missed with the series now.

Just finished the series and while I didn't hate it, I gradually got bored of the series which is a huge disappointment given I had been excited about it for months.

Time hopping, lack of character depth and what I think was bad casting ruined the show.

I got totally lost at episode 8 and what they were trying to do here apart from to appease something, they'd have been better off focusing on the characters we were already invested in.

I think overall in the series 4 characters were relatable. They failed hard with what was possible. Settled at 5/10 for me.
