Mate is trying to sell his BMW...

I've been looking at 330ci's for a while now as I'm considering getting one in the nearby future.

What everybody else said above is true however what made me run away was the oil light. That can be something minor but to the average buyer it also screams "potential knackered engine".

I wouldn't mind buying a car with a rusty wing if the price is right, but I'd never risk buying one that had an owner who think's it's normal to have an engine warning light on.

The general OcUK consensus is "spend 7k on a 330ci" however from what I've seen you can get a pretty decent one for half of that. Maybe not an m-sport in the best colour combo, but you can get very good ones ones, like this:

That being said I think that's worth around £1800 on ebay, maybe a bit more if you're lucky. Sort out the door and the oil light and you can change the overall perception that the car offers and thus be more likely to get £2000+ on it.

Thanks for the advice. I will print out what you said and file it under 'C' for ****. :o

Cool.

That's because SEs don't command a higher asking price, they also don't look that sporting and are missing some of the main benefits of an E46 Sport (steering wheel, m-tech suspension, aero bodykit and supporting trim that goes with it).

A non facelift one also looks rather outdated as well.

Sup guys here is my dads car, isn't it nice should I purchase it in 5 years time from him at a good price?

and

Sup guys my mate is trying to sell his BMW what do you think? Oh you all gave brilliant advice but according to my mate some of you are ***** because you criticised his obvious and dumb mistakes.

That's a completely different debate. What you are saying is true(steering wheel looks shockingly similar though), but I for one wouldn't pay twice as much for what is essentially more or less the same car at the end of the day. It's simply much more car for the money in my book.:)

It's just down to desirability, the sport is more desirable therefore it commands a price premium.

Blackhawk doesn't have friends really, they are all his other personalities :p

Yes because secretly I am also DiamondMark, DM, and a number other motors infamous banned members, let me tell you. ;)

Oh <3 Nath and his slow'ish 350z. Can't wait for more of his witty banter. :p

Calm it down blackhawk, we wouldn't want you to spill your double caramel frappé chino on the way to the salon would we?

I am sensing impending account self destruction.

Suck on this...with your popcorn in one hand then. :p
