Mate's E36 M3 EVO

A friend of mine bought this bad boy recently. It's an E36 EVO M3. Can you tell me what is wrong with it? ..Easy for the BM boffs

To be fair, you could be referring to nearly anything - the car has a series of modifictions that could be considered "wrong"

it doesnt look like an evo has crappy mods, has to many doors..........

No it was a 328SE. The guy he bought it off threw the EVO engine in. It's got some wider wheel's, I think he uprated the suspension, put some fancy guages inside, carbon fibre bonnet (which doesn't even fit right) and as you can see, some other poorly added bit's. Why you would want to do this I don't know, maybe he got the engine out of a write off. He kept a 5speed gear box in their, need's 6 tbh but he claimed he decided that for acceleration.

Considering it cost him £3k it's not too bad I thought, plus you have 4 door's, woo!

It sticks to the road surprisingly well I might add.

You could get better acceleration with six gears rather than five, surely.

Oh and the car looks well naff to me

Yeah, that's his downfall I guess

Quite simply though he wanted to buy the most powerful car he could get within his budget and he stumbled across this. He was originally looking at a Celica or perhaps a vtec prelude after I got mine but he just leaves me standing in this. Yeah it's not the best looking BM but "bang for buck"? ...laughing.

One thing to complete the look, and no doubt add to the fun, would be a 316i badge!

Its cars like that which give E36's a crap reputation. Kill it with fire but spare the engine kthxbye.

Didnt think the m3 was ever sold as a four door over here, but they were sold on the continent as a friend from uni had a lovely laguna blue one.

Sure they did, when they were new, before ****** got hold of them and modded them to look like the monstrosity above, they were as any other BMW, a prestige family/small executive saloon.

Yes, the E36 M3 was sold as a saloon over here.
