How do I calcualted the percentage of A and B in X?

For A: A/X * 100.

'illiterate' probably does come from the word 'literature'. But your mistake is thinking that literature is just the subject of learning to read and right etc...

Definition: Literature said:
published writings in a particular style on a particular subject.
